Cup and saucer in plain gilt 800‰ silver, the cup with median frieze, stands on a pedestal with pearl moldings and bears a handle featuring a lion-headed neck. Engraved "RF" in an escutcheon. (wear) Paris guarantee mark (1798-1809) on the cup. Hallmark of the Association of Parisian Goldsmiths. MO: Jean François CARRON Weight: 384.3 g (The absence of the title and guarantee hallmarks suggests that they were made around 1797/1798; the hallmark insculpted without evidence can be found on objects both before and after the revolutionary period).
