First edition printed at the author's expense, distributed as a present by the author (hors commerce), on vellum. 7 folding maps or plans, drawn and engraved by Ambroise Tardieu. Autograph signed letter from the author to Monsieur Lherminier: "gage d'amitié" ( = Felix Louis L'Herminier (?)). Repeated ex-libris labels: V.A. Fauconneau-Dufresne docteur en médecine, (Victor Alban Fauconneau-Dufresne (1798-1885)). Enriched with an autograph note signed by Fauconneau-Dufresne bequeathing this work to his niece Marie Malcor, pasted on the flyleaf; R.N.
