FACHRALO (Caucasus), late 19th century. A bicoloured, bipod, - Lot 263
FACHRALO (Caucasus), late 19th century. A bicoloured, bipod, brick and champagne field, decorated with diamonds, flowers, crosses, star and Kotchak boxes, entomological forms, weaver's combs and figures, supports two central medallions with niches, marine and brick, enriched with cruciform flowers, insects and a star box of Medes and Kotchaks (trophies). A marine reserve with kotchaks and a slight crenellated, pointed mihrab complete this archaic church layout. The main ivory border is of polychrome stylized leafy pyramidal compositions and chalices. Toothed counter edges and polychromy selvages. 193 x 105 cm.
