KASHGAI (Persia), end of the 19th century. An ivory field so - Lot 243
KASHGAI (Persia), end of the 19th century. An ivory field sowed with multicoloured floral boxes, small animals and ornaments hosts an octagonal night-blue crocheted counter-field decorated with three main diamond-shaped crenellated brick and old gold medallions decorated with stylised cruciform plant compositions and charming colourful birds. The whole rests in the middle of an inextricable network of colourful flowers and small diamond-shaped boxes hooked with floral crosses. Two old gold and navy counterborders with garlands of flowers frame the main ruby with a succession of polychrome corollas on undulating floral stems. Nice poetry. 245 x 140 cm.
