KASHGAI Gallery (Persia), end of the XIXth century, beginning of the XXth century. An oblong octagonal serrated and crocheted field with changing shades of purple, cherry and brick covered with a plant seedling and small floral rhombuses supports four serrated diamond-shaped medallions, emerald, apricot, anthracite and ivory, decorated with a multi-coloured cruciform floral composition. Four rich anthracite spandrels with polychrome vegetation frame the ensemble. Two highlighted, hourglass counterborders enclose the main anthracite border with stylized garlands. Nice pallet. 280 x 110 cm.
